Bad + Puppet Leaders of India – Economic Policy Shunted – Emergence of Social Leaders

The World’s Largest Democracy saw emergence of Citizen Social Leaders in the Past 6 Months and have managed to build a massive base of 6% and growing by the day fighting the disease of corruption engineered by the mentally ill Government officers and Politicians. According to leading Political Journalists and Observers in Mumbai and Delhi, the shift of confidence by Indians is towards this new class of Citizens / Social Activists and this is because of loss of public trust in the political establishment, populists (such as civil society activists or religious leaders) have emerged to fill the void.

Now What Happens to the Business of India – The Economy ?
With a succession of scams and the lack of policy execution, the UPA-II government’s approval ratings have declined. Mr. N C Saxena Member, National Advisory Council and Former Secretary, Planning Commission gives a thumbs down to Government’s UIDAI / AAdhar project as it can neither improve delivery and efficiency of public services nor be used to identify deserving beneficiaries for government schemes. The Indian government lacks the administrative capacity to identify the deserving beneficiaries. He adds, Rural employment scheme (MGNREGA) is a “bad idea” as it does nothing to improve agricultural productivity or create durable assets.

Amitabh Kanth, CEO of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor said – Urbanisation has been ignored by independent India. Last new city – Chandigarh – was set up in the 1950s. The DMIC is still Planning and Drawing on board except one project planned city of Dholera, Gujarat where land acquisition to the extent of 70% is completed by the dynamic CM of the sate Narendra Modi.

The Government must definitely introduce reforms for Rural folks of India but without the dirty thought of vote bank politics and see to it they are implemented without any leakages. Stay tuned, India is headed into a quiet revolution 🙂
