KEC International Bags Rural Electrification & Transmission Orders of Rs 365 core

KEC International Ltd has informed BSE regarding a Press Release dated February 18, 2009 titled “KEC International Bags new Rural Electrification & Transmission Orders worth Rs 365 core.

Orders awarded by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL) covering electrification in 3340 Villages, including providing Below Poverty Line service connections and new substations. The project is scheduled to be completed by Aug 2010

Orders awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) in Bihar, covering electrification in 16 blocks including providing Below Poverty Line service connections, new substations and augmentation of existing substations. The projects are scheduled to be completed by July 2010.

The Rural Electrification orders are turnkey project awarded under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY)
