Educomp Solutions – Career programs for graduates – Purple Leap

Educomp Solutions, through its subsidiary Purple Leap, has launched Career center in Tamil Nadu and held a press meet to discuss the prospects of the Purple Leap. Amit Bansal CEO, Purple Leap addressed the meet.

• Educomp Solutions has majority stake (76%) in Purple Leap and has become strategic investor to the company.
• Purple Leap has launched career centers in Tamil Nadu in partnership with engineering and graduate colleges in Tamil Nadu. The company has also started its centers in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and plans to expand in rest of India with in 6-9 months of time.
• The company with the help of college Administration will set up a Career Center in every college and plans to invest around Rs 5 Lakh for establishing its cell. Through this center, the company will start its career program for students with basic professional skills as well as specific programs for entry level programs for IT, KPO, Telecom and other Industries.
• The career cell is linked with Satellite Technology that connects to the studios of the company so as to have interactive sessions with the industry Expertise easily. The company has 3 studios in Bangalore, Delhi from which Industrial experts will deliver speeches to the students.
• The programme given by the company to the students will make full use of proven Educomp expertise in delivering large scale Technology enabled learning solutions.
• The company has corporate partnerships to leverage career centers and help acquire quality, readily deployable talent and drastically reducing hiring & training costs.
• The company plans to expand these centers to 200 colleges in this year with and average of 40-50 students per college, training around 10,000 students in the current year and expects to train 20,000 students in the next year. Average revenue per student is Rs 4000.
• Currently, the company has tied up with SRM University (Deemed University) in Tamil Nadu, other deemed University in Punjab and also working with around 16 colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
