India General Elections 2014 – BJP’s Narendra Modi Gaining NationWide Momentum for Simple Majority

In a recent Survey that was conducted across the length and breadth of the country funded by Investors who pour billions of Dollars in the Indian economy, the outcome was surprising as the Narendra Modi #NaMo wave has made in-roads into rural India as well.

According to the Survey BJP under the able leadership of Honorable Chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi is inching close to 200 Lok Sabha Seats. Excluding parties whose electoral strategy involves visible wooing of minority votes, the NDA will be able to reach 284 seats – just 12 seats more than the required majority. Importantly, 3-4 regional parties will have a practical veto on major government decisions as their numbers would be more than the majority enjoyed by the government.

Nitish Kumar who copied #Namo’s model of Governance has arguably taken the biggest political gamble of his life by splitting the assiduously built alliance over 17 years over a single issue – the leadership of Modi. Unambiguously stout opposition to Modi makes a rapprochement under Modi impossible; with BJP winning 190 seats under Modi, replacing him would be very tough for the party.

The relative position of various political formations under the changed political scenario for the BJP indicates that the party is heading towards forming a stable government without uncomfortable compromises needed to be stuck at the outset. It is only under these conditions that an alternate government formation would be a very onerous task. This would ensure that incoming government is focussed on governance rather than the Corruption and Scams that India saw during the Congress led rule between 2009 and 2013.
