Bangalore based Sasken Communication Technologies, which offers solutions in the embedded communications segment to accelerate product development life cycles, has taken some harsh decisions to withstand cost pressures. The company is also concerned about the outlook of the IT sector in the near future.
The IT company’s initiatives include a cut in staff salaries up to 40% and a complete ban on recruitment till the situation improves. Sasken has also cut down on working days to three per week.
The pay cut is expected to impact the variable component of the staff salaries, the company clarified.
