Bharti Airtel, the leading integrated telecom services provider in Asia has entered into a managed services deal with Comviva. The latter is a leading provider of integrated VAS solutions for mobile operators in emerging markets.
Bharti Airtel becomes the first telecom services operator in the world to have a managed services agreement for its value added services portfolio. As a part of this 3-year deal, Comviva will manage over 2000 of Airtel’s VAS nodes across India from various partners, to meet defined service level agreements.
Bharti Airtel is known for deploying innovative operational models by partnering with majors like Ericsson and Nokia Siemens to manage its network and IBM for its IT management.
Earlier, Bharti Airtel was awarded Service Provider of the Year at Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards as a recognition for excellent performance.
