Astra Microwave Products has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PSU electronics major Bharat Electronics (BEL) for RF and microwave products.
As per the pact, the two companies will come together to form a joint venture (JV) wherein Astra will have a majority 51% stake while BEL will hold the balance stake. The proposed JV will design, develop, prototype, manufacture and market RF and microwave products for use in defence, space and telecommunications.
The synergy with BEL is expected to benefit Astra Microwave in terms of delivery capabilities and will enhance its market share.
