Winsome Yarns has undertaken the installation of five Mini Hydro Power Projects in Punjab with total power potential of 3900 Kilo Watt, allotted by Punjab Energy Development Board (PEDA).
The company is planning to start commercial production at first site at Barewal by February, 2009 and other sites subsequently in next six months. The civil work at all the five sites is currently under progress.
The company is aiming to increase its revenue with the commissioning of these projects, it stated in its announcement made to the FreePress.
In a separate development, India’s leading turnkey and construction major Punj Lloyd has secured a contract for civil works for approximately Rs 264 Crores (Rupees Two Hundred Sixty Four Crores) from Airports Authority of India in connection with construction of new airport at Pakyong, Sikkim.
