TCS looks at tier-II and tier-III cities for future growth

Major software services provider, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), is planning to set its development centers in tier-II and tier-III cities such as Pune, Nagpur, Gandhinagar, Kochi and Chandigarh to drive its future growth in the domestic market.

The centres in Pune and Gandhinagar are likely to be operational by the end of this year while the proposed centres in Chandigarh, Nagpur and Kochi are scheduled for the second phase. The company is looking at a pool of 7,000-10,000 professionals for running the above centres.

The software major also intends to establish its strong presence in countries like China, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, West Asia and Africa
