FII net sellers of Rs 363 cr in cash segment on Monday

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs 363.37 crore (provisional) in the cash market on Monday, as per information available on the BSE website. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 769.63 crore, their gross sales aggregated Rs 1,133 crore.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers of Rs 275.97 crore (provisional) on the same day. While DIIs made gross purchases of Rs 544.52 crore, their gross sales amounted to Rs 268.55 crore.

The local market is likely to face tough time today amid weak Asian markets. Investors will continue to stay away from stocks as Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc’s forecast of the biggest loss in UK corporate history gives a gloomy picture about the global economy.
