Jindal Saw wins orders from domestic & overseas mkts

Jindal Saw (JSL), part of the fourth largest industrial house in India Jindal Group, has said that it has received orders for supply of large diameter pipes and ductile iron pipes from domestic as well as overseas customers, valued at over Rs 1,000 crore.

The domestic orders have been received from state-run Gas Authority of India (GAIL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) while the overseas orders are mainly from middle-east.

Both the orders will be completed by the end of the current financial year.

The total order book of JSL now stands at Rs 3,600 crore.

JSL is the leading product hub of saw pipes which are mainly used for transportation of oil and gas. It has diversified itself into manufacturing of large diameter submerged arc welded pipes and spiral pipes and bends for energy transportation sector; carbon, alloy and stainless steel seamless pipes and tubes manufactured by conical piercing process used for industrial applications; and ductile iron (DI) pipes for water and sewage transportation.
