Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs 250.86 crore (provisional) in the cash segment on Tuesday, as per information posted on the BSE website. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2,392.50 crore, their gross sales stood at Rs 2,643.36 crore.
Similarly, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs 7.44 crore (provisional) on the same day. While DIIs made gross purchases of Rs 1,216.88 crore, their gross sales aggregated Rs 1,224.32 crore.
FIIs were net buyers of Rs 706 crore on Monday, July 20, according to SEBI data. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2,578.90 crore, their gross sales amounted to Rs 1,872.90 crore.
Mutual funds (MFs) bought equities worth Rs 1,251.40 crore and offloaded stocks worth Rs 781 crore, thus emerging as net buyers of Rs 470.50 crore on Monday.
