Federal Bank upbeat on merger talk with Catholic Syrian Bank

Federal Bank is currently trading at Rs 189.70,up by 11.75 points or 6.60% from its previous closing on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 182 and has touched a high of Rs 189.80 with low remaining its opening price. So far 11,280 shares were traded on the BSE.

The BSE group ‘A’ Bankex stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 265 on May 5, 2008 and a 52 week low of Rs 110.50 on March 3,2009.

The BSE Bankex is currently trading at 5,548.80, down by 0.77% from its previous closing.

The scrip price has witnessed upswings of 5.54% since last week and 29.18% since last month.

The board of Catholic Syrian Bank is expected to discuss a merger move with Federal Bank today.
