Dr. Reddy’s rolls out five products in US during Jan’09

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has floated five products in the US market during January, 2009.

The products are Levetiracetam tablets (250mg, 500mg, 750mg and 1000mg), Omeprazole capsules (40mg), Lamotragine CD chewable tablets (5mg and 25mg), Divalproex capsules and delayed release pellets (125mg) and Lamotrigine tablets (25mg, 100mg, 150mg and 200mg).

The company has posted a 145.14% rise in the net profit to Rs 103.67 crore for the December 2008 quarter as against Rs 42.29 crore for the December 2007 quarter. The company’s total income has moved up from Rs 820.68 crore for the December 2007 quarter to Rs 1057.52 crore for the December 2008 quarter.

On a consolidated basis, the group has reported a 154.45% rise in the net profit to Rs 159.16 crore for the December 2008 quarter as against Rs 62.55 crore for the December 2007 quarter. The group’s total income has moved up from Rs 1265.98 crore for the December 2007 quarter to Rs 1855.28 crore for the December 2008 quarter.
