State run Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has announced a new tariff plan that offers local and STD calls at just 50 paise per minute across all the network and 20-30 paise for BSNL to BSNL.
The new plan – India Golden Fifty – would be made available to its customers from March 1 for a monthly rent of Rs 375, inclusive of taxes.
State-run telecom giant BSNL has launched its ambitious 3G services in Chennai enabling a range of upgraded services, including rich voice, data and video services, to the subscribers.
Next generation mobile service 3G makes possible video streaming applications such as live TV, movie downloads, high speed data download on mobile phones with 3G services enabled and to top it up, callers can also see each other on their mobile phone screens.
3G will offer subscribers a data speed of 2 Mbps against 144 Kbps available now over the GPRS and EDGE enabled mobile networks.
