REpower Systems AG, a unit of Suzlon Energy, has bagged an order worth nearly 2 billion euro from RWE Innogy GmbH for supplying 250 offshore wind turbines.
The two companies signed a framework agreement on the supply of 250 offshore wind energy units of which the first 30 offshore wind energy units of 5M model are scheduled to be delivered in 2011, while the delivery volume will continue to rise through the years 2012 to 2015.
The units would be used in the planned Innogy Nordsee 1 wind farm in the UK and the Netherlands.
