Tiles manufacturing major – Orient Ceramics and Industries – is scouting for an overseas partner to form a joint venture for setting up a new tiles manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh with an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.
It is currently in talks with foreign players based in Italy and Spain for the joint venture and has already acquired the 40 acres of land required for setting up the manufacturing plant
The company, hopeful of striking a deal in six months, is currently waiting for the assured gas supply for the plant before progressing further.
The tile manufacturer also initiated a new strategy for marketing its product under which it would tie-up with large showroom owners for showcasing its products in the dedicated area.
Orient Ceramics also unveiled its new range of Europa designs in New Delhi today.
