GTL Infra to triple the number of telecom towers by 2011

GTL Infrastructure (GIL) is planning to triple its telecom towers from current 8,300 to 25,000 by March 2011 for an investment of $2 billion. The network services provider is planning to take the number of towers up to 11,000-12,000 by the end of this calendar year.

The funding for the same is to be done through a combination of debt, equity and internal accruals. It aims to attain a revenue of Rs 230-250 crore by the end of this fiscal year. The company currently has a turnover of Rs 160 crore.
