HDFC cuts home loan rates by upto 150 basis points

Housing finance major, HDFC, has announced a reduction in home loan rates by upto 150 basis points. The move comes after a reduction in its tax deduction on home loans.

Interest rates have been cut 150 basis points to 9.75% from 11.25% earlier for those looking to avail of loans between Rs 20 to Rs 30 lakh.

For those seeking loans below Rs 20 lakh, the reduction is 50 basis points.

  1. Inspite of RBI reduction in CRR there is no futhur annoucement from HDFC regarding the rate of interest cut.

    for existing customers will the bank reduce rate of interet or it is advisable for existing customers to shift to some other bank providing at lower rate of interest.
