Foreign institutional investors were net sellers of Rs 721.84 crore (provisional) in the spot market on Tuesday, as per information available on the BSE website. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 1,658.39 crore, their gross sales stood at Rs 2,380.23 crore.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers of Rs 467.44 crore (provisional) on the same day. While DIIs made gross purchases of Rs 1,327.46 crore, their gross sales amounted to Rs 860.02 crore.
FIIs were net buyers of equities worth Rs 1030.70 crore on Monday, August 17, according to SEBI data. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2639.90 crore, their gross sales aggregated Rs 1609.20 crore.
MFs bought stocks worth Rs 499.60 crore and offloaded equities worth Rs 1181.40 crore, thus emerging as net sellers of Rs 681.80 crore on Monday.
