State-run telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has launched brand new service delivery web portal — BSNL Live — to offer video on demand and movie streaming for its 3G customers for the first time in the country.
The portal will provide movie streaming, games, full track songs, video clips as a single window shop for all the mobile value added service (VAS) contents.
The name of the technical platform hosting ‘BSNL Live’ is Service Delivery Platform (SDP) developed to fulfill the needs of mobile network operators, media companies and service providers.
The newly launched service would be available in over 100 cities of northern and eastern parts of India including states Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, UP, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Andaman and Nicobar. The company aims to expand the service net to 760 more cities countrywide in next six month.
