Infosys to open its centre in Brazil

In a move to serve its US clients on improved terms,leading technology service provider, Infosys Technologies is looking toopen software development and back office centre in Brazil in thecurrent year.

The unit, which is likely to beoperational in next 3-4 months, will occupy around 100 skilledemployees in the beginning and will also source new business for the ITmajor.

Tech biggies like TCS and Wipro arealready present in the region, which registered a whopping 75% growthin its IT exports to $1.4 billion during 2008.

Inthe recent past, the local IT firms have started their delivery centresin some of the big markets like China, Mexico and in Eastern Europe toserve their customers better.
