Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs 1,111.25 crore (provisional) in the cash market on Wednesday, according to information available on the BSE website. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2,496.52 crore, their gross sales amounted to Rs 3,607.77 crore.
Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs 505.49 crore (provisional) in the cash segment on the same day. While DIIs made gross purchases of Rs 1,103.47 crore, their gross sales aggregated Rs 1,608.96 crore.
FIIs were net buyers of Rs 444.80 crore on Tuesday, January 6, according to SEBI data. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2,389.90 crore, their gross sales stood at Rs 1,945.10 crore.
Mutual funds (MFs) bought stocks worth Rs 541.80 crore and offloaded equities worth Rs 591.50 crore, thus emerging as net sellers of Rs 49.70 crore on Tuesday.
